ABOUT GOD
We believe in one God, the Creator of all things, who is eternal, all-knowing, all-wise and all-powerful, and who alone is worthy to receive worship.
We believe that God is one in essence, and eternally existing as a Trinity of persons: The Father, the Son, and The Holy Spirit.
ABOUT JESUS CHRIST
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Father, and is both fully God and fully man.
We believe He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.
We believe Jesus Christ lived a sinless life, and that His death was a sacrifice of atonement for the sins of the human race and has thus provided the way for salvation.
We believe that the purpose of Christ’s coming was to do the will of God on earth; to declare the truth of God through His teaching, to prove the character of God through His life, and to demonstrate the power of God through miraculous signs, and, through His death and resurrection to redeem humankind and destroy the works of Satan.
We believe that Jesus rose bodily from the dead on the third day and, after appearing to His disciples, ascended to the right hand of God
We believe that Jesus will come again in power and glory, as he promised, to create a new heaven and a new earth, in which righteousness will rule and wickedness will be no more – in which all who believe in Him will live forever with Him.
ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Trinity, has been poured out by God to impart revelation of Jesus Christ and to empower the saints to live and serve God.
We believe his presence assures us of our relationship with Christ. He guides believers into all truth and exalts Christ. He convicts people of their sin, God’s righteousness, and the coming judgment. He comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts, and makes us more like Christ.
ABOUT THE BIBLE
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God – the only true guide to faith and life.
ABOUT HUMAN BEINGS
We believe that human beings were created in the image of God to know God, to glorify Him, and to enjoy Him forever.
We believe that the human race has willfully rebelled against God and have fallen short of the Glory of God and are in need of salvation.
We believe that God has individually equipped believers so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives which is to worship God, fulfill our role in the Church and serve the community in which we live.
ABOUT SALVATION
We believe that all human beings stand accountable to God. We believe that all who have come to God through Jesus Christ are redeemed and justified in God’s sight.
We believe that in order to receive this salvation, we must repent of our sins and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.
We believe the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way of salvation through the forgiveness of sin. Salvation occurs when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin. Salvation is a gift from God, and it cannot be earned through our own efforts.
ABOUT ETERNITY
We believe that the destiny of all people is either eternal life with Jesus Christ or eternal separation from God and this is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ.
ABOUT THE CHURCH
We believe that all who have given their lives to Jesus Christ form one Body, the Church.
We believe in the power and significance of the church and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together for fellowship, prayer and the ‘breaking of bread’.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the living Head of the Church, and that the Holy Spirit empowers the Church to preach the gospel and be his witnesses.
